Lost Harold Lloyd film found
A Lloyd film previously believed to have been lost has been found at the Gosfilmofond Film Archive. The film, "A Mix Up for Maise" from 1915, is the 3rd of the Lonesome Luke series and is of special interest to Irish audiences as it features James T Kelly. Screen shots from this short appear in both the Lloyd and Kelly pages and are featured by kind permission from the Archive.

Charlie Chaplin Festival, Waterville, County Kerry
The Jitterbugs Tent Ireland (www.laurelandhardy.ie) Oasis #220 Sons of the Desert International Laurel and Hardy Appreciation Society in association with slapstick.ie are delighted to be returning to The Charlie Chaplin Film Festival in Waterville from August 24th - 27th 2017.
The pioneering work undertaken by cinema's early comedians laid the groundwork for much of today's comedy films. By their actions, the early slapstick antics of Chaplin, Laurel and Hardy, Lloyd and Keaton brought the world much laughter and jollity when it needed it most. Between them, Charlie Chaplin and Laurel & Hardy are arguably the greatest early comedians that graced the silver screen.
Based in The Butler Arms Hotel, we will be hosting a Laurel and Hardy Museum with rare original scripts, autographs and fun displays that will take the audience into the early world of Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy. Join us for two exciting presentations, one of which will explore the connection between Chaplin and Laurel (did you know they were once roommates on the vaudeville circuit). And the other will take you back to the 1950's, when Stan and Ollie came to Ireland. Both are full of rare photos and artefacts and are presented in a relaxed and fun atmosphere with the opportunity for audience participation.
Hope to see you there... Please contact us for further information.
